Purpose and Governance
ROST Coop – The Ingredient for a Regenerative Cultural Economy
ROST Coop is a Sweden-based, non-profit, member-governed cooperative building digital infrastructure for a regenerative and culturally rooted economy.
Trust is the core ingredient that nourishes ROST’s growth — cultivated through shared ownership, cultural belonging, and regenerative exchange.
Our purpose is simple: to make cooperation, equity, and cultural relevance the key ingredients of regenerative economic growth.
ROST operates as a multi-stakeholder cooperative, with governance built on three principles:
- One Member, One Voice — democratic input across all levels
- Shared Responsibility — co-creation across the value chain
- Interconnected Stewardship — trust and culture as the basis of value
We organize members into three interdependent categories: Suppliers & Founders (Sureka Store), Consumers & Culture Shapers (YR Community), and Storytellers & Media Contributors (Celine Talks) — each holding one collective vote in governance.
ROST is more than a cooperative — it’s a system where identity, economy, and ownership grow together.
Join ROST — and grow what matters.
Our Members — The Stakeholders in Transformation
ROST is a multi-stakeholder cooperative connecting those who grow, make, and consume — with those who design, enable, and regenerate. At the heart of our membership are two essential forces:
Suppliers – producers, farmers, and ethical supply chain actors committed to regenerative practices, transparency, and cultural respect.
Buyers – individuals, organizations, and retailers seeking to align purchasing with purpose and traceable impact.
Around them, a broader network of contributors helps scale trust and transformation:
- Knowledge Holders – educators, researchers, and institutions advancing applied innovation
- Cultural Stewards – artists, storytellers, and creatives cultivating identity and belonging
- Community Enablers – cooperatives, civic actors, and grassroots organizers supporting local regeneration
- Digital Builders – developers and tech collaborators designing open tools and infrastructure
Together, these members form a living ecosystem — where participation builds equity, and trust is the shared ingredient.
